A health insurance policy is a decision worth lakhs of rupees, written in words most of us were never taught to read. Policy in Brief exists to close that gap.
An independent library of health insurance policies, read clause by clause from the official documents and explained in plain language. You can browse every plan, compare any two, run a hospital bill through the claim simulator, and ask the community when something doesn’t make sense.
Nobody is hiding anything from you - everything on this site has always been in the policy documents. Those documents are just long, technical, and easy to misread. The gap between what is written and what is understood is the whole reason this site exists.
Policy in Brief is built and maintained by Kishore Jain - one person reading the documents, not a content team. It is not an insurance company, not a broker, and not an agent. It earns no commission on any plan, which is why no page here will ever push you toward one.
Every fact here traces back to a policy document, and the methodology page shows the path. In the community, an answer earns its verified tick only after it has been read against the policy wording and cited. And when we get something wrong, telling us moves that correction to the front of the queue.
