Short and in plain language - the way we wish policies were written.
Policy in Brief is an educational reference. It explains health insurance policies, compares them, and points you at the exact wording - so you can decide with open eyes.
We are not an insurance company, broker, or agent. We do not sell policies, and nothing here is personal financial, legal, or medical advice. The contract that governs any claim is your own policy document, between you and your insurer.
We are not registered with the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) in any capacity - not as an insurer, an intermediary, a web aggregator, an agent, or a broker. We do not sell or solicit insurance, we have no marketing or money arrangement with any insurer or intermediary, and no page here is a recommendation to buy or not buy any policy. Insurance is sold only by registered insurers and intermediaries; we are neither.
We read from official documents with care, but insurers revise their policies and humans make mistakes. Before you buy or claim, verify the details against the current official documents of the plan. If something here is wrong, tell us - corrections take priority.
We work hard to be right, and we show our sources so you can check. But which policy to buy - or whether to buy one at all - is your decision, and we are not liable for its outcome. Read the wording; it is shorter than the regret.
The community is for real questions and honest answers - no spam, no impersonation, no posting someone’s private details. And please don’t scrape the site to resell its content; it is free to read for a reason.
Insurer names, plan names, and logos appear on this site only to identify the plans we read. They belong to their respective owners. Their presence does not mean any tie-up, approval, or endorsement in either direction.
These terms, and everything on this site, are governed by the laws of India.
