Covers dental treatment requiring a hospital visit - like surgical tooth removal under anaesthesia, jaw injury treatment, or oral cancer surgery. Some plans also cover routine dental check-ups and fillings. Cosmetic dental work and braces are not included.

HDFC ERGO
The rule turns on where the treatment happens, not on what caused it. A dental problem from disease is treated the same as one from an accident, as long as it needs hospitalisation.

Care Health
Dentures, artificial teeth and similar external appliances are excluded by name, and this policy has no out-patient benefit, so a filling, a crown or a check-up is paid by you. A jaw injury or oral cancer surgery that needs admission is covered like any other hospitalisation.

Aditya Birla
Routine, preventive, diagnostic, restorative and cosmetic dental work is excluded outright. Fillings, crowns, cleanings and check-ups are paid by you.
